At Max Speed Cycles we understand the difficulties in finding a reputable shop to work on your treasured vehicle. We are the proud owners of several vintage motorcycles and will gladly work on yours.

1974 Yamaha RD250

While there is a sense of pride and satisfaction in owning a vintage motorcycle, working on a pre 1990 vehicle can present challenges.

Bolts can be rusty or break, hoses and cables may be worn, there may be unanticipated complications due to long term inactivity or outside storage, or parts may have been discontinued.

We will provide to the best of our ability and experience a rough estimate for repairs. From our experience we have found that a seemingly straight forward repair can quickly change into something more. The need for longer repair times or additional unanticipated repairs is not uncommon. We will contact you with updates and estimates for approval of additional work should that be the case.

All vintage work is done by the hour at a labor rate of $80 per hour. We usually require a 50% deposit before we begin work on your vehicle. Our standard tire mounting fees apply to vintage vehicles.

PROJECTS

Project motorcycles are repair or restoration jobs that require a significant time investment. They do not have a quick turn around time because often times these jobs require extensive part sourcing or fabrication of discontinued parts. We will estimate to the best of our ability the financial commitment involved in beginning your project. We require a $300 deposit plus initial parts when you bring your project to us. We accept a limited number of projects at a time so please call us to schedule a consultation.
